Permacoll - Clear, 1/2 ounce
Permacoll is a water-soluble size for applying gold leaf. One layer of Permacoll is great for (almost) flat gilding, and several layers can be built up for raised gilding. An almost mirror finish can be achieved with very little burnishing. This is a great substance for adding gold to medieval-style or modern illuminated artwork. Many scribes in the SCA swear by Permacoll for adding gold to their illuminated pages and scrolls.
This clear Permacoll has had no coloring added to it, so you can add your own color to it as-needed or use it under silver or palladium leaf.
