This site was begun on 19-Dec-2008 as a way to share my research with other interested parties.
I use Family Tree Maker 2010 software to keep track of my genealogy data, and I periodically refresh what is shown online using GedHTree software version 2.80.
I hope that if you spot any errors, or have any information to contribute, or see anything posted which you would prefer is kept private, that you will get in touch with me.

Updates Log: 15-Nov-2011: Updated software and refreshed online files. 20-Dec-2008: Started using notes from my Aunt Milly's research in the 1980's; added over 100 names, mostly Porteus (from Ireland). Online pages refreshed. Research on my ancestry was started in the 1970's. It received sporadic attention over the years, none over more than a decade, then was resumed in 2008. There have been tremendous advances in genealogy software and online research, and now I'm enjoying taking advantage of some of them! First pages put online 19-Dec-2008. |
